Supported Software

Spartan is a molecular modelling and computational chemistry application. It contains code for molecular mechanics, semi-empirical methods, ab initio models, density functional models, post-Hartree–Fock models, and thermochemical recipes including G3 and T1.

All OIT-managed lab/classroom computers will have the Student v9 installed.

Faculty/Staff:
Should you require the full Spartan '24 license for research purposes, please reach out to the support contact below. A reboot is required after installation. License configuration for this product is complex with multiple steps.

Students:

• Using a different version or edition of the software may not match lab instructions for a specific course.
