Williams College has purchased a campus wide license that allows for individual device installation of Mathematica and access to Mathematica Online.
Since Mathematica is a downloadable product, it has the capability for being more robust than Mathematica Online for large computations, data sets, and intense work. Mathematica Online is fully browser-based, so it can be accessed from anywhere you can get to the internet, and facilitates collaboration across users. Note: Version 13.2.1 has been installed on all OIT computers; however, individuals may download a newer version onto their own computing devices.
You can download Mathematica and access Mathematica Online directly from Wolfram Research by going to the website at:
Please enter your Williams College email address and then follow the prompts.
Note: If you don't yet have a Wolfram account you will need to create one.
Fill out form using a @williams.edu email, and click "Create Wolfram ID."
The password you use to create your Wolfram account should NOT be the same as your Williams network user ID.
Check your email and click the link to validate your Wolfram ID.
Once your account has been created with this process you will be given an activation code and a link to directly download the software.
Our typical software license covers actively employed Faculty/Staff and some agreements also over currently enrolled students. If you can’t find an application you are looking for or have other questions, please email: [email protected]
