Remote Access to Academic Software

First and best choice:
It is possible to install and run most academic software directly on individually-owned computers from the OIT Software website. This direct installation will provide individuals with the best possible experience of using academic software.

All academic software listed on the OIT Software website provides details on whether or not it can be installed on individually-owned computers. Each application also lists if it requires additional software to correctly access the software license servers (e.g. VPN).

Other remote access options exist:
If it is not possible to install and run the required software on individually-owned computers, we have prepared a number of alternatives for remote access to needed academic software. Those resources are limited and faculty are asked to request assistance with these options through the ATS drop-in hours or by contacting [email protected] .
