How should my students record a video screen capture?

Screen capture means recording what appears on a device screen, which could include going through a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation, drawing or marking up a document, or demonstrating the solving of a problem set.

NOTE: Your students may need access to a microphone and/or webcam if these are not already built into their device. They may also benefit from presentation, whiteboard, or markup tools for their screen capture.

Google Meet

  1. Log into Google using your Williams credentials.
  2. Click the Google apps menu (), then click Meet ().
  3. Screen recording with Google Meet

Recommended: For presentations use the built-in markup tools in Powerpoint, Google Slides, or Apple Keynote, rather than external tools that may not be captured by screen recording.
