Joining Eduroam (Wi-Fi)

Williams primary wireless network for Faculty , Staff and Students is eduroam. This network is for computers, smartphones and tablets. The recommended way to connect is via eduroam’s configuration tool. Frist connect to the Williams Wi-Fi portal (Williams -College) and select Eduroam.  Then open a browser (i.e. Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and navigate to the website https://cat.eduroam.org/. On the site choose Williams from the list of colleges then run the tool once it downloads. You should use your Williams email address and password to set up the connection.   • Frist connect to the Williams Wi-Fi portal (Williams-College) and select Eduroam.  Click this link to get to the eduroam configuration tool: https://cat.eduroam.org/  Select ‘Click here to download your eduroam installer’. From the menu, select Williams College. If Williams College does not appear, search for it in the bar. Now click the eduroam button to download the cat tool.

    Now select and run the eduroam installer file, from your downloads. Follow the prompts to configure eduroam on your device. When prompted use your Williams email address and password for credentials:

     

     

     

    After finishing the eduroam installer You should now see 'eduroam®' in your list of Wi-Fi networks. Click connect to use that network. You should now be automatically connected to eduroam while on campus.

  • Frist connect to the Williams Wi-Fi portal (Williams-College) and select Eduroam.  Open a browser (i.e. Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and navigate to the website https://cat.eduroam.org/

    Select ‘Click here to download your eduroam installer’. From the dropdown menu, select Williams College. If Williams College does not appear, search for it in the bar. Now click the eduroam button to download the cat tool.

    Now select and run the eduroam mobileconfig file, from your downloads. That will place a profile for eduroam on your device. To install the profile go to your system preferences using the Apple menu, select 'Profiles', find eduroam® in the list and click install. You should use your Williams email address and password when prompted. After the profile installs it should show as 'Verified'.

    Now you should be able to select eduroam from your list of available Wi-Fi networks.
