Update on Eduroam - Friday afternoon 5-7-21

If you are having trouble getting back on to wireless, especially with an “authentication failed” error, we recommend running the Eduroam configuration tool.  Directions are below:

Mac laptops:
Join the Williams Guest network for temporary access.
After you are online, go to cat.eduroam.org
Select Williams as your school
The download is a mobile config file – it may say it is dangerous but it is ok to keep.
After downloading, click the mobile config file then go to System Preference and you should see it at the top on the left.  Click the install button on the right.
You will probably have to authenticate to your computer (the login you use to get in to the computer)
Enter your email address (e.g. [email protected]) and your email password

Windows laptops:
Join the Williams Guest network for temporary access.
After you are online, go to cat.eduroam.org
Click download your eduroam installer
Choose Williams college on the right
Download the installer
Run or open the file
Enter your email address (e.g. [email protected]) and enter your password twice

iPhone (iOS):
If you don’t have cell service first join the Williams Guest network
Go to cat.eduroam.org
Click download your eduroam installer
Choose Williams college
Click Apple device
Allow the configuration profile
Click close
Go to Settings – near the top you should see Profile Downloaded
Click that then Install
Enter your email address (e.g. [email protected]) and enter your password

Android phones are similar to the directions above.
