Business Technologies, Inc. out of Georgia has been calling departments to confirm pcard numbers in order to ship them toner. They make it sound like it is a standing order and that they are doing business with the College. This is partially a scam and you should not be purchasing toner from this company. If you have purchased toner from them in the past and they call you to send out another shipment, do not confirm your pcard with them – instead have them cancel the order.
As a reminder, you should order all toner for networked printers with a CBS sticker through Connecticut Business Systems. For all Konica Bizhubs and Lexmarks, order from MacFarlanes. You are not charged for these toners, the cost is covered by OIT. Departments are responsible for purchasing toner for their local printers and are encouraged to shop for the best toner prices through reputable companies such as WB Mason and Staples.
