Teaching and Tech Workshop: Mid-semester strategies and tools

Mid-semester strategies and tools to (re)connect students with you, each other, and the course material
A workshop led by the Rice Center for Teaching and Academic Technology Services
Wednesday, March 6th, 1pm – 2:30pm, Sawyer 328

As we approach the midway point of the spring semester, you may be looking for new ways to engage your students, especially to finish out the second half of the semester strong. This hands-on session, hosted by the Rice Center for Teaching and Academic Technology Services, will focus on pedagogical and technology-based strategies for (re)engaging students, highlighting the ways students can share progress and understanding with you (through surveys and formative assessment), connect more with their peer colleagues (through peer-to-peer discussions), and engage deeply with the course materials (through collaborative reading annotation). We will showcase three specific academic technology tools to demonstrate a few possible ways to implement these strategies. Please RSVP here.
