Visible Mending @CET/Sawyer 276: Sunday 2/20 from 1-3 PM (REGISTER HERE)
On Sunday 2/20 from 1-3 PM, Kate Sekules, clothing historian and author of the book Mend!: A Refashioning Manual and Manifesto, will be leading a visible mending workshop, open to the entire Williams community!
Kate will discuss the role of mending as art, political statement, and planet healer, and show participants some techniques for mending their own clothes. Bring any ripped or stained clothing, and learn how to repair them using creative mending techniques. People without clothing to bring are also welcome. No sewing experience is required.
