OIT is replacing network hardware in both Jesup and Armstrong data centers which will cause intermittent service disruptions on Saturday 8/17/2024.
This will impact many campus services (both on campus and off campus services. Work will begin on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 7:00 am and will continue until at least 9:00am. During this period you can expect intermittent disruptions to services.
Please plan accordingly. Details of this maintenance work will be kept up to date on this page.
The plan is to keep all the services we can running while this work is being done, the following should not be impacted:
- Internet access
- Wireless devices
- Workstations (mac and pc)
- Phones
- Cloud based apps
- Google suite (email/drive/calendar/meet)
- Okta
- Slate – Admissions
- Slate – OCR
- Workday
- Zoom
Some major components that will be down intermittently during the maintenance:
- Authentication (some active directory authentication, e.g Glow)
- Advancement Systems
- Dining Services Time Kiosks
- Docfinity
- Eduroam at remote locations and remote users at Williams College
- Glow
- HPCC cluster
- Library Kiosks
- Lab computers and lecterns
- Peoplesoft Systems
- Printing
- Ticket
