2011 Billy Award

Did you miss the screening? Not to worry! Here are all of the results and entries for this years Movie Madness Short Film competition:

Category: Video

5 minute maximum length – Any topic, all original filmed footage and audio.
Honorable Mention trophy: Julia Embry – Pen of Love
Best in Category Winner: Mitchell Martinez - Williams Against Hate: A conversation, Part 1

Category: Animation

5 minute maximum length – Any topic,  all original artwork and audio. Can be stop action, hand-drawn, Flash or mixed media.
Honorable Mention trophy:

Best in Category Winner (also chosen as Best in Show):
Laurel O’Connor - Out of Step

Category: Mock-umentary, Parody or Spoof

5 minute maximum length - All original filmed footage or animation  and audio.

Category: Long-short

15 minute maximum length – Any media, any topic, all original video or animation and audio.

Category: Williams theme/content

Category entries were chosen from all submitted films based on Williams content or theme.

Category prizes were as follows:

Best in Show prize: iPad2, 16 GB, wifi ready & 2012 “Billy” trophy.
Williams Special Category Prize: iPod Touch, 8 GB, wifi ready & 2012 “Billy” trophy.
Regular Category Winner prize: 1Pod Nano, 16 GB & 2012 “Billy” trophy.
(Note: any prize may be exchanged for a similarly priced tech gadget, by winner’s choice.)

and more. It’s the primary destination for individual or small group training and support.

Location and Hours

The Media Education Center, Jesup 316, is physically located on the third floor of Jesup hall. It is open on weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM. Staffed “Drop-in” support hours are currently 10AM – noon and 2 PM – 5 PM.
