Digital Story Telling Workshop, Summer 2003.

The Story:
During the summer of 2002 OIT learned of the Center for Digital Story Telling through a presentation by Joe Lambert at a New Media Center Conference. Joe subsequently was invited to Williams to lead a 3 day workshop on digital story telling which was highly successful.
Since then the workshop has been offered at least once a year.

The Workshop:
The workshop typically lasts three days:
- one day of story development.
- one day of software instruction and rough editing.
- one day of production.
The stories are the personal stories developed by the participants. The final product is a short film of 3 to 5 minutes that is is created in iMovie and that consists of still images, video, and auido voice over or music.

The Finished Product:
At the end of the workshop, participants share their films with eachother and rejoice in the newly developed video and audio editing skills gained through the development of a personally engaging project.
