Forwarding Calls

Transfer directly to voicemail

Hit Transfer, * then the extension & Transfer again.

Forward your phone to voicemail

  1. Press the CFwdALL (Forward All) soft key.
  2. Press the Messages Button.
  3. Look below your primary number on your phone screen to check the status to confirm forwarding is active. You may also call the number to insure it forwards to the intended destination.
  4. To cancel call forwarding press CFwdALL (Forward All) soft key.

Forward your phone to another extension

  1. Press the CFwdALL (Forward All) soft key.
  2. Enter the extension you want your number forwared to
  3. Look below your primary number on your phone screen to check the status to confirm forwarding is active.
  4. To cancel call forwarding press CFwdALL (Forward All) soft key.

Forward your phone to an external number (e.g. cell phone)

Note: by default you cannot forward to an external number, you must first contact OIT and request this feature be enabled.
  1. Press the CFwdALL (Forward All) soft key.
  2. Enter the 9 and the phone number you want to forward to (NOTE: by default you cannot forward off campus, you need to request this feature to be enabled by OIT)
  3. Look below your primary number on your phone screen to check the status to confirm forwarding is active.
  4. To cancel call forwarding press CFwdALL (Forward All) soft key.

Using the Phones Portal

You can also set forwarding in the phones portal:  https://phones.williams.edu

  • Log in with your short username and password, click on call forwarding in the left column menu.
  • Check the box for Call Forwarding, and then in the drop down either select Voice mail if you want to forward to voice mail, or select add new number.
  • If you select add new number, you will be required to enter a new number.  Either enter a 4 digit extension or enter 9 and an external number.
