Test Installations

OIT is very excited by this opportunity to provide better services in an attractive and convenient new facility.

We want to ensure that the CMI is flexible and equipped to facilitate the changing needs of the Williams community in the future. With the intention of opening this ongoing planning process to the larger community, we have installed a number of furniture concepts in full scale in rooms 204 and 205 of Jesup.

These installations intend to explore concepts for learning spaces supporting individual as well as group work. The materials, detailing and finishes are generic and do not represent the furniture and fixtures that will eventually be installed at the new building. These mockups are meant to elicit discussion about functionality which will inform and orient further design decisions.

Feedback

This is the first of two furniture configurations that are designed to kick-start a conversation about the CMI in the new building.

We are very interested in hearing your thoughts. Your experience and feedback using these environments will inform revisions and upgrades to be implemented in the next round of these installations.

There are several ways to respond: We look forward to hearing from you!
