The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) oversees the five teams within OIT to ensure that they are working together to promote our overall mission and the mission of the College.  She is responsible for strategic planning and the OIT budget.  The CTO works with the all-campus Information Technology Committee (ITC) to set policies and directions and works with the OIT Directors to plan future work and to establish procedures and internal policies.

Administrative Information Systems

The AIS group supports the effective use of information technology in the administration of the College. We provide high-quality business process analysis and project management services to offices including Admission, Financial Aid, Registrar, Controller, Provost, and HR. AIS assists in the selection of 3rd party software, and the design and development of new applications. We work closely with departments to implement & maintain applications to ensure ease of use, reliable operation, and secure access.

Desktop Systems

What we do: Diagnose and solve all computer hardware and software problems in a multi-platform environment covering multiple operating systems. This task involves application of known solutions, but also troubleshooting never-before-seen computer and network problems. Solving these problems over the phone or by remote control is especially challenging!

Instructional Technology

The members of the ITech group help faculty and students further their pedagogical goals through the effective use of digital media, equipment and scholarship. The group is responsible for media education and development, the campus’ course management system Glow, classroom electronics, computer labs, academic software, the loaning of equipment, and the media studios. ITech staff collaborate with faculty and staff to research and develop new applications of technology in teaching, and assist faculty in their use.

Networks & Systems

Networks & Systems (a.k.a. NetSys), is responsible for the College’s network infrastructure and central servers. We rely on NetSys for critical underlying services such as internet connectivity, wireless, phones, email, and network security. They keep the servers that run Glow, payroll, course registration, our web sites, and hundreds of other services, up & running 24-7.
